Rosemary for Kibra, Gor says

Former Youth Fund boss Gor Semelang'o has endorsed Raila Odinga's daughter Rosemary for the Kibra parliamentary seat. Area MP Ken Okoth died about three weeks ago, creating room for a by-election on a date yet to be announced by the Kenyan electoral commission. Semelang’o, who is also the President of the Black and White movement, a talent search and nurturing stable, said he would not be contesting for the seat contrary to belief by a section of locals, who have been fronting him for the political post. "I am not running for the Kibra seat. I am not joining active politics yet. However, I think Rosemary Odinga is best suited for the post. So when the time comes for the by-election, I will be behind her," Semelang’o told Monday Blues. "She has done quite a lot for the community there and as well shown very strong leadership qualities. I don't know anyone who is best qualified for the job there," he added.
