It is all systems go for Kalasha Film and TV Awards

After all the hype surrounding this year’s Kalasha International Film and TV awards nominees, the action is expected to happen at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC) on Saturday where we will get to know the wheat and the chaff.

Kalasha Film and TV Awards an initiative of the Kenya Film Commission seeks to recognize talent in the different facets of Film and TV industry promoting   a vibrant local film industry.  And this has seen all the film industry bigwigs pitied against each other on competitive categories as all waits to be crowned the champs.

What started with call for entries and consequently numerous submissions in the different categories, an eight member nomination academy drawn from film industry associations, academics and industry professionals was tasked to select, scrutinize and nominate films. Since then it has been nothing but intense lobbying for votes and finally the D-day is here.

The star studded event which has consequently been branded as the “Kenyan Oscars” will see the film greats honored. The red-carpet host will be Mwalimu Rachel assisted b y the  ever dapper Jamal Gaddafi while the stage Mc will be Robert Burale flanked by Sanaipei Tande and you can watch the event as they will be live streaming on all their social media pages on Saturday 30th Nov 1900EAT.
