D-Major to join Chris Martin in Big Deal concert

It’s official, reggae icon D-Major will be joining Chris Martin during the Big Deal reggae concert set for the Kenyatta International Convention Centre next week on Saturday.

Hyped as the biggest reggae show of the season, the Vybez Radio-sponsored event will see the two Jamaican stars bring Nairobi into a standstill with fans already looking forward for the big treat. Pulse can also reveal that Chris Martin will be jetting in days before the concert accompanied by his band and will have a number of meet-and-greet sessions with fans in the company of top Kenyan reggae DJs.

D-Major was born in Kingston, Jamaica to a single mother. He grew up in a middle-class household listening to his mother’s R&B and Reggae collection of vinyl.

“D is the initial of my first name and Major was given to me by a friend of mine because Major is a musical term and it is more uplifting than Minor of course,” he explains.
